PROFESSIONAL SKINCARE THAT WORKS
VITAMIN C
As an antioxidant, Vitamin C is a key ingredient to keep your skin looking bright and youthful. First, it helps protect against harmful free radicals by neutralizing them, which, in turn, helps to decrease the visible signs of aging on your face, such as fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots from sun damage, and loss of moisture.
PASSION FLOWER EXTRACT
Passion Flower Extract is full of nutrients that are good for the skin, including Vitamins A & C and essential fatty acids. It's known for protecting the skin against environmental stressors. Passion Flower Extract hydrates and moisturizes the skin without clogging pores, and it's soothing and calming for dry, itchy, and irritated skin.
VITAMIN E
Vitamin E is found naturally on human skin. Vitamin E levels are often depleted due to sun exposure and other environmental irritants. However, Vitamin E has antioxidant properties that can help protect against and limit the damage of harmful free radicals. It can also be used to work synergistically to stabilize otherwise volatile or temperamental ingredients such as Vitamin C, as we demonstrate in our hero product, Nectar Drops.
NIACINAMIDE
Niacinamide is a derivative of Vitamin B3 and is very effective at soothing irritated skin. Thanks to its soothing and antioxidant properties, applying niacinamide to your skin can help minimize the redness and irritation associated with certain skin conditions. Niacinamide also boosts your skin’s ability to retain moisture while increasing the effectiveness of ceramides and rebuilding the skin’s natural protective barrier.
ALPHA ARBUTIN
Alpha Arbutin is a naturally occurring antioxidant and skin brightener naturally found in the bearberry plant. Helping to brighten dark marks, reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, as well as prevent new areas of discoloration from forming. Alpha Arbutin works by inhibiting an enzyme known as tyrosinase found in melanocytes.
Melanocytes are cells that control your melanin production. Melanin is that good ole’ magic that is responsible for the level of pigment in our skin.
Niacinamide is a key player in treating hyperpigmentation and dark spots. You will find this superstar in the True Shade serum, our go-to non-hydroquinone skin brightening and illuminating serum.
